01

Choose Debug mode.

Open the Mac recorder and switch to Debug. Choose the screen or window that shows the failure, then select the relevant evidence sources. Normal recordings cannot collect their missing logs retroactively.

02

Connect browser evidence.

Install the Thrume beta extension in Chrome or Edge. In the Mac app, open Settings → Workspace → Browser debugging, choose your browser and allow the extension ID shown on its extensions page. In the extension, choose Connect browser, then select your tabs in Debug setup before recording. Browser evidence includes selected console events and supported request metadata; request/response bodies are not generally captured.

03

Add the local sources.

Select an application that exposes usable logs, choose a log file, or run a command through the local bridge. Avoid broad collection. A source with no events may be quiet or unavailable; it does not prove that no error occurred.

04

Make a short test recording first.

Trigger a harmless action, stop the recording and check that its expected evidence appears. For the real report, mark the failure and capture a screenshot where small text matters. Inspect everything before sharing.
