In the recorder, use Follow order to prefer your saved device order, or Pin microphone for one specific input. Make a sound check before the session. A disconnected device is worth checking before you start.
Choose enhancement strength.
Open audio settings and select the cleanup strength. Voice enhancement runs on your Mac after capture, so processing adds time before the enhanced recording uploads. Try a short sample to judge the result.
Try Voice+ if useful.
The optional Voice+ model downloads in the Mac app. Allow space and time for its approximately 407 MB download. Compare the result on your own voice; room conditions and microphones differ.
Recover or use the original.
Use Retry audio if enhancement failed, or Use original to keep the unprocessed recording. Retry uploads addresses upload failures separately. Keep local files until the recording is safely available in your workspace.
